Among many characteristics being evaluated, his main focused was evaluating each hybrid for taste. After several years, some hybrids were consistently on top for taste evaluation. One hybrid was selected which combined the best agronomic characteristics with the best kernel characteristics .He then produced this hybrid and successfully commercialized this specific popcorn.
